| In 2006, Playbill joined forces with Sony BMG's Legacy Recordings and Sony BMG Masterworks to create the Playbill Records label, which launched with the nationwide release of "Brian Stokes Mitchell". This was followed by the debut of "Playbill Editors Choice: Broadway Scene Stealers" - two new collections of spotlight stealing numbers from some of Broadway's greatest performers. Soon after came the release of two recordings by Betty Buckley: the never-before-released "Betty Buckley 1967" and the brand-new "Quintessence."
