Daphne Rubin-Vega: Redemption Songs CD

After joining the group Pajama Party, with which she made two albums on Atlantic before going solo to write and record singles for the indie club label, Maxi, Daphne Rubin-Vega cut her first album of original music "Souvenirs" in 1997. Two time Tony nominee, Daphne Rubin-Vega is best known for her roles as Mimi in the cast recording of Rent, Gloria Perez in the feature film "Wild Things" and her star turn in the Pulitzer Prize winning "Anna in the Tropics".

Daphne Rubin-Vega returns with her follow up album, written and performed by Rubin-Vega while pregnant with her first child, Luca Ariel. The album is a vibrant and sophisticated collection of rock, pop and reggae songs that are soulful, passionate and from her heart.
